Callus Care at Home

At Home Callus Care Instructions

Nightly Routine (after your shower):

  1. Buff the areas of thickened skin (calluses) gently using a foot file or rasp. Do not over‑buff; stop when skin looks smooth and even, not raw or red.

  2. Apply 40% Urea cream to the softened callus areas and other dry foot regions. This helps break down the thick skin and hydrates. Here’s a good product 👉 Urea 40% Foot Cream – Amazon Amazon+1

  3. Cover with gel‑lined lotion socks overnight to lock in the moisture and protect the treated areas. Product suggestion 👉 Moisturizing Gel Socks – Amazon Amazon

Weekly Tool (1‑2 times a week):
Use a callus removal file/device for thicker areas only, not nightly. Suggested device 👉 Foot Callus Removal Tool – Amazon Amazon+1

✅ Tips for Best Results

  • Buff after shower when skin is soft.

  • Avoid aggressive scraping — only remove excess thickened skin.

  • Apply the urea cream thinly to the callused area.

  • Use gel‑moisturizing socks every night for at least 2–4 weeks.

  • Avoid tight shoes and high pressure on treated areas until skin improves.

  • If you have diabetes, poor circulation, or nerve‑damage, call us before using any buffing tool.

🚨 When to Contact the Clinic

Call if you notice:

  • Excessive redness, swelling, or warmth around the callus area

  • Pain or discomfort that increases after treatment

  • Skin breaks or sores developing in treated areas

  • Any signs of infection (drainage, odor, fever)
